REGISTRATION NOTICE
Due to the Canada Post strike, the mailing of registration notices, which are usually sent to each person registered on the electoral roll, will be suspended.
However, voters will still be able to verify their registration on the electoral list:

These notices will be delivered by municipal employees directly to the door of the residence indicated. Citizens who receive this notice and wish to be registered must come in person before the electoral list revision commission as mentioned below.
WHEN AND WHERE WILL VOTING TAKE PLACE?
Voting will take place at Town Hall, 1257, route 243, Canton de Melbourne (Québec) J0B 2B0. Voting sites will be accessible to people with reduced mobility.

List of electors
The list of electors for the Township of Canton de Melbourne is drawn up from the permanent list of electors maintained by Elections Québec, to which are added the owners or co-owners of an immovable and the occupants or co-occupants of a business establishment who have filed their registration or power of attorney within the required deadline.
Filing of the list of electors
The municipal list of electors was filed on October 1st, 2025, and will be available for consultation at the Township of Canton de Melbourne Town Hall as of that date.
Notice of registration
The notice of registration to each person entered on the list of electors will be mailed between October 6 and 8, 2025.
Revision of the electoral list
The list of electors will be revised so that you can request, if necessary, an entry, striking off or correction of this list.
Check online now to make sure your name is on the list of electors.
The Board of Revision will be sitting at Town Hall, 1257, route 243, to receive applications for revision of the list of electors:
Anyone who is not on the list of electors, but who could be, can apply to the Board of Revisors to have their name added to the list.
A request for striking off may also be made by any person:
An elector may ask the board of revisors to correct any error in the entry of his or her name or address or, where applicable, date of birth.

The Returning Officer, Mrs Cindy Jones, is responsible for holding the election and ensuring that it runs smoothly, including the electoral procedure, from nomination to the proclamation of the election following the poll.
