On behalf of the municipal council, I welcome you to the new website of the Township of Melbourne. Citizens, business people and visitors, this site has been designed to facilitate access to municipal information. Municipal Elections: Nomination Period Ends

Melbourne Township, October 6th, 2025. – The nomination period for the Melbourne Township general election ended on Friday, October 3, at 4:30 p.m. The list of candidates elected unopposed is available at www.melbournecanton.ca or on the Élections Québec website.

Voters will vote for the position of councilor that was not filled unopposed, namely seat #1.

The candidates are:

Sylvain Cadorette

David Paterson

Are you registered on the electoral list? Check here to see if your name is on it.

There will be two days of voting in the municipality.

  • Advance voting will take place on Sunday, October 26, from noon to 8 p.m.
  • On election day, Sunday, November 2, voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Other voting options available upon request

People who are unable to travel for health reasons can request that a voting team come to them. Eligible voters must submit a request to the returning officer no later than October 20.
